Q811493 can't uninstall

Loaded this update and now having all kinds of speed
problems loading my MCAfee virusscan. Tried to install
latest one over bad one but no dice. Any idea on how to
correct this? Can't find the update in my remove program
section to even remove it. Help!

To uninstall that update:

Have a look for the following folder in Windows Explorer:

C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallQ811493$\spuninst

If found, run the spuninst file in that folder.

If 811493 installed properly, it would be listed in Add/Remove Programs.
You would also have this Registry key:

Windows XP:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP1\Q811493

Windows XP with Service Pack 1 (SP1):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP2\Q811493

Did you uninstall via Windows Update? Were VirusScan and all other running
programs closed during the install? Did you reboot?

Please check the Windows Update.log file located in the C:\windows directory
for error messages. Post the most-recent info from the log file in your
reply.

Try using System Restore to take you back to a time prior to when the issue
began:
Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
