Not sure what I have done, but when I try to open the properties for any item
in my database nothing happens. I am using Access 2007.

Thanks

jutlaux,

Wee bit more information... Are you in Design Mode? What hapens when you
try to open the Properties window, error message? What items are you trying
to open the Properties window for? Because not all items have a Properties
window.

Perhaps you changed monitor resolution, but before doing so, you had the
properties dialog near the edge of the screen. Set your monitor to the
finest resolution to find it again.

I'm in design mode and if I select a text box, right click and go to
properties, when I click on properties nothing happens. I don't get a popup
anywhere for the properties of the item I selected. It doesn't matter if the
item is a combo box, labels, command button I never get the properties for it
to come up. It does this came thing when in design mode for reports too.

Thanks!

i was in fact using dual montiors. I'd never heard of such a thing happening
so I failed to mentioned this.

I belived the link you provided would have fixed it, but I had already
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2007 to fix this.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi,

I just want to say thanks for the suggestions, but I too have the same error and have done all the suggestions and still no luck with properties.

Would I be better just re-installing Office 2007? I am not using a Dual Monitor - I am using a 27" iMac and have made it the highest resolution, yet no luck.

Thanks, Jenn

You set your monitor to the highest resolution your display driver ca
handle... and you still did not see the propety dialog box
If... by chance, you are using dual monitors..

Jennifer,
I'm not sure there's anything left to suggest...
On a single monitor, Arvin's suggestion should be the cure.
IF it's only Access that has a dialog box problem, why not try just
reinstalling that part of Office 2007.
Post back, and let us know how you make out...

Sometimes using Alt+M then the Left arrow key will allow you to snag an
active window. So try to make the window active first by choosing it again,
then try Alt+M, then the Left Arrow key repeatedly.
