Program freezing computer

I recently purchased a new program that worked the 1st 2-3 times I used it
but now freezes my computer whenever I try to open it. I uninstalled and
reinstalled per product support. Once again, it worked 2 times but now
freezes the computer. The support person thinks it has to do with the fact
my computer is running MDAC 2.8 SP1 on Windows XP SP2. I am computer
impaired, any help would be appreciated.

Andrea, what is the name of the program that you installed? Was it a freeware
internet download or purchased retail?

It is a wrist top computer that measures heart rate, altitude,speed... from
Suunto. It downloads info via a USB port. The program is Suunto Training
manager. It was purchased retail.
