Windows XP program delete

iv deleted a program out of the control panel..is there anywere else i need to delete it so it is completley off my computer?

Yes. Probably in Program Files, possibly in seperate folder on drive C and possibly in My Documents.

And very likely in The Registry as well, though mind how you go deleting stuff in there.

thanku.yes i`m much more carefull these days after i deleted the administrator by mistake:blush:.sorted it in end:)..registry?sorry where would i find that?thanks

to enter your system registry:
click "start" on the left bottom of your desktop
click "run"
type "registry" and type enter

It's dangerous for you to clear program keys which has already not useful.
you may backup your registry before you do this.

or you can download registry clean tools to clear your registry. It's safe I think.There may be many addresses to
download free registy clean tools. such as http://www.digitalsupporttech.com/en-us/freetools.htm

beside this, to clean your program leftover files or folders
double click "my computer"
double click c disk
find C:\Program Files\XXX XXX means your removed program name
and delete it.

After many many years working in IT, I have come to the conclusion, when somebody asks where is the registry, you don't tell them..Or you tell them its at the local town hall..Safest options..
