problems with updates :(

hi people,
Recently, my Windows (XP Pro) had prompted me to install 3
security updates (KB885836, KB873339 and KB885835) and 1 criticle update
(KB886185). Thus i followed instructions and went to download and install it.
Then, after i had installed the above mentioned updates, the computer gets
restarted and that is normal, but it asked me for password to login to the
system (at the point where "welcome" usually appear). The problem is that i
had never set any password before and tried many possible password and it
just can't log me in.
Anyone has encounted the same problem? Or is there anyone who can help me?

Thanks a million.

i also tried leaving it blank, but it just cant log me in. Additional info is
that each time after i entered a wrong password, it will have a popup message
saying what parameter error or wrong parameter.

There have been a few posts about this problem in the newsgroups over
the last few days. Try booting into the "Last Known Good
Configuration". Get to this menu choice by repeatedly tapping the F8
key as the computer is starting up. If you are successful in getting
in, uninstall the security updates. I don't remember which one of those
4 is the culprit, but you could search the newsgroup via Google Groups
over the last few days for the subject.
