problems after trying netware

D

Dustin

Ok.... Well i was interested in finding out what netware
was so i installed the client and restarted my computer
as requested. The login screen was then changed from the
gui interface where you click your user name and enter a
password to what i believe would be a client login to a
server computer. I was worried at all by this a
proceeded with un-installing netware. This however
didn't revert me back to the original setup. I have also
started having problems with MSN messanger. I am no
longer able to share files via a router with the XP
firewall enabled. Oh and i have win xp pro. Umm
something else that I am interested in is how I can
enable the administator account. Older version of
TweakUI could do this but now it seems that it has been
removed.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

thanx

Hi Dustin,

Control Panel/Users/"Change the way......", you need to reenable the Welcome
screen.

The XP firewall was not designed for use behind a router, what you are
seeing is normal behavior when you try it. Suggest you disable it and use a
third party product if your router is insufficient protection. Some populare
firewalls that will work, but not interfere, behind a router:
