Opening Screen Disabled by Netware Client Service

Windows XP Pro, No multiple user opening screen. Must type in user name and
password instead.

when I try to enable the multiple user screen for login, I get a message
"Client Services for NerWSare has disabled the Welcome screen and Fast User
Switching. To restore these features, you must uninstall Clent Services for
NetWare.

I disabled the netware client service, still no multiple user opening
screen.

Rebooted, still no screen.

Cannot find a way to uninstall Client Services For Netware and I don't know
how it got installed in the first place. This computer is set up on a local
area wireless network in my home, though. Disabling the service makes no
difference in that functionality.

Netware is a protocol that would have a checkmark in the Network icon
properties (rightclick in the network connections folder)

also:
Go to start, run, and type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2. Be sure the checkbox for
'force users to use ctrl-alt-delete' is Not checked.

then: open the User Accounts app in control panel, to enable the Welcome
Screen.
