XP Reboot when logging in with Netware.

This may not be the best place for this problem, but I have not totally
linked this problem with the netware client.

Some of our Windows XP Pro clients are rebooting about 30 seconds after you
login with the netware client. If you login with workstation only, you do
not have the reboot problem.

This sounds like a Netware problem with the exception that ALL of our
clients have the same Client version and features and settings installed.
This should be happening with all the computers with that client.

I have patched most of the machines with the sasser lsass update and the
blaster update. Ran the norton virus removal tools for both. NOTHING.

Something even funnier... It doesn't do it everyday. Seems like it happens
on Mondays most of all. This is the freakin weirdest thing. If anyone has
any input on this or suggestions, please post them.

Also, I am running Symantec Corporate Antivirus 8.1.0.825

Even weirder. This seems to have stop while I was typing the message before
hand. 11:30am CST. But this happens every week. Any Ideas?

Kenny:

Like you, I would think that if it were a Netware problem, all clients would
exhibit the same problem.

You mention that this happens mostly on Mondays -- perhaps a
time-synchronization problem? Have you compared the system times of the
errant workstations with problem-free workstations?

Have you posted this problem in a Novell Netware newsgroup? I'm a Novell
novice, but I have found their newsroups to be lively, helpful, and
friendly.

Good luck
Steve

Thanks I will check that. I will also post it on the Netware forums. I
just wanted to do 1 thing at a time. Thanks for the help!
