Problem with JAVA all of a sudden ...

G'day

I'm using WinXP Professional and my browser is IE6.

Java was working fine up until about a week ago and then
it stopped working. So I did the usual uninstall and
renistall of java a couple of times and still
experiencing the same problem.

Anyone else having problems with Java and IE6 recently ?

The latest error message I get is in a pop up box which
says:

Java(TM) Plug-in Fatal Error
The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from
<\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll>

i Had the same problem.
i reinstalled java . with no luck.
what i did was to use netscape. and it work great.

I have had this problem over the last couple of days and it has been driving
me nuts. I do not get any errors, just red-crosses in the places where the
java applets should be.

Opera browser works with sun java but IE6 refuses to work.

As a work-a-round I sourced a copy of MS Java VM and loaded that, this is
working but MS are not supporting this early next year. It would be nice to
have a proper fix for this.

I also tried re-installing the latest sub java but this does not fix the
problem.
