Problem with IE 6.0 (Javascript)

Hi!
Some thing happened with my Internet Explorer in my Windows XP Prof. I can't
no longer use any JavaScript in my browser. I've tried change properties in
Tools-Security-Custom Level-Scripting. I changed Active Scripting properties
from enable to disable and than back to enable, also I did the same with
Allow Past Operation via Script and with Scripting of Java Applets. It's did
not help. So, I have no idea how to fix it?

It's happened after I've reinstalled Norton System Works 2003, because, when
I installed Windows XP I selected upgrade option. I have Windows ME before.
Every thing was ok, before I decided reinstalled Norton Systemworks. After
that - doesn't works JavaScript in browser, windows help and when I go to
the Windows Update page all I can see - only white screen in browser.

Help me, please.

Man, you keep telling people who are having problems with Javascript to read
some web site with answers about Java.

I know other people have said it, but once again:

JAVASCRIPT IS NOT JAVA.
JAVASCRIPT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH JAVA.
FIXING PROBLEMS WITH JAVA VM WILL NOT FIX PROBLEMS WITH JAVASCRIPT.

Javascript is a scripting language. Java's a coding language. They were
invented by different people at different companies to do different things.
They are not connected in any way, except the inventor of one named theirs
to confuse people.

Surprises me that an MVP wouldn't know that.
