javascript not working on ie, working on opera, .net

i have a simple javascript postback (.net) that uses the
anchor tag to call some javascript. Ie does not seem to
work when clicking the link, but opera does.
I have checked whether javascript is on, and it is. I
have reinstalled windows scripting host, but all to no
avail.

Please Help.

reinstall java, uninstall it from "Add Remove Programs" in control pannel,
then download it from www.java.com and have fun!
