Problem with Finepix

Since I changed from Windows98 to WindowsXP my Finepix
program doesn't work, in fact none of my photo prpgrams
with WindowsXP work. When I connect my Fuji S5000 camera
I can view some of the thumbnails some of the time....
but then I can't save them or manipulate them.(The
program always sends off an error message to Microsoft).
The Compatability wizard hasn't helped, nor Autofix. The
scanner & camera wizard tells me there is and 'I/O device
error'. What is this? The Scanner & Camera installation
Wizard does not show the Fuji S5000, just a different
Fuji camera. I downloaded an update for WindowsXP from
the Fuji site, but this did'nt help. I also downloaded
the Auto Repair Wizard which said that everything was
working okay.... it lied!
Is there a patch that I could download which would fix
this problem?
Please help.... I don't know what to try next!

I have the same problem... urgh.. If I figure it out I'll post the fix.

Solved the problem! If you are having the same problem
as I had try this: I disconnected the camera from an
additional USB port which I had installed on my computer,
and connected it to a USB port which was part of the
original computer tower....... works perfectly now.
