Problem with Creative Live! Cam Voice

A friend of mine got a "Creative Live! Cam Voice" for Christmas, which
she is not able to get working properly. She has a 3-year old computer
with only USB 1.1. The requirements of the cam says it needs a 1.7 GHz
processor, something which I think sounds extremelly high. She only has
a 1.25 GHz processor in her computer. Is this the problem? She gets the
cam to work about three second before the program recording the movie
locks up. If it is the processor, does anybody have a trick to bypass
this problem?

1.25 GHZ on a 3 yr old pc is fairly "slow",+ at that speed its not a
P4,probably
a socket 370 celeron..Although its limited,it still should run the hardware,
with more ram memory and/or a quality video card.The video card alone
will make the pc perform better,also,if it runs on a socket 370,the amount of
memory is 512mb for the motherboard.Also set youre virtual memory in
system properties to "let system manage" click set 2X...
