Problem opening Outlook B2TR after reboot

Has anyone run into a problem with opening the new and improved Outlook
following a reboot? When trying to open the program it opens then the screeen
freezes then Outlook just closes. If try to reopen does same thing but closes
much faster. Only workaround have found is to open IE7 and email page or link
to myself. It opens Outlook to do that and after closing that page can open
Outlook normally.
Also get an error about a data file that has to be checked, which takes 5-10
mins - then get balloon saying that file was checked successfully. Good grief
is this really RC1 caliber? B2 was more stable. Thanks.

Hi Milly,

No IE6 or 7 does not seem to make a difference. i believe it is related to
the file check routine and my guess is that until that is completed that
Outlook just refuses to open.

The other issue i have had with TR is one that several have mentioned
before, incompatibility with BCM and the building blocks problem. Could any
residual from that be causing this issue too? Thanks.

If you roll back to IE6, does it work any better?

One of my staff started having this problem to. No new software added and no
changes. I'm interested in your workaround, but I'm not sure what you did.

Sure, glad to help - Open any IE window and click Page and either send page
or link via email. It will open an Outlook email form, which also opens
Outlook - then you can either send the email to yourself or just close that
window. Now you can open Outlook per normal operation. Kinda hokey, but it
does get Outllook to remain open. Good luck. - JIM
