Printing preferences window cropped

I have a shared HP400 printer on a Win 2k3 server. About 10 other computers
are connected to this printer share. It works without a problem on all the
computers. However, one computer displays the contents of the printing
preferences window too large. Since there is no sliders (or scrollbars) the
window truncates the contents so I can't access some of the features.

To see a screenshot please see this link

I have tried updating the driver, uninstalling and resinstalling, and
installing the printer on the local machine rather than the server. Nothing
seems to work. Also it is not in the screen resolution because no matter what
resolution i use the window isn't sized right.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Set your cursor on the bottom edge of your screen so it becomes a double
headed arrow (up and down), then drag it up an inch or so. The same for
the left and right side of the screen. Try it.

I'm sorry but there is no way to resize this window. There is not scrollbars
or resizing options available.

Is there any other ideas?

I did not say to look for scrollbars. I said to look for a double-headed
arrow to drag it up or down. But another thought came to mind, is
doesn't your monitor have buttons on the front to change the windows
vertical and horizontal size? Have you tried them?

Yeah, I've tried:

- changing the screen resolution
- reinstalling/updating video drivers
- reinstalling/updating printer drivers
- scrolling/resizing the window (which is not an available option)

The OP states that they've tried changing resolution but not a word
about looking for buttons on the front of the monitor itself!

I am having the same problem. I have one computer (stand alone) running
Windows XP Home Edition SP2. But only my "Printing Preferences" window and
my "Mouse Properties" window are affected this way. I have tried all of the
suggestions in these posts. I don't really know when this started but it has
been this way for awhile now. Any new suggestions will be appreciated.

I have fixed my problem about my dialog boxes for print and mouse. I
changed my DPI (Control Panel - Appearance and Themes - Display - Settings -
Advanced)from 96 to 120 and rebooted. I then changed it back to 96 and
rebooted. Both my print preference box and my mouse properties box are back
to normal.
