PPT Office 2003 glitch

Hello

On a recently purchased Dell laptop, I am experiencing problem with
PowerPoint (Office 2003)
When viewing certain .ppt files (both attachments and saved files),
some graphs will not show up at (empty placeholders are in their place)

When the same slides are viewed from other machines (i.e. Office 2000),
all graphs are viewable.

I carried out a "detect and repair" and an error message appears, and
after inserting the MS Office 2003 disks they following error message
appeared:

Error 1311. Source file not found D:\ZF561407.CAB

I was thinking of uninstalling the Office 2003 and installing Office
2000 - but will this cause any problems? does anyone have any
thoughts / or suggestions?

In addition to Glenna's suggestion to install SP-1 for Windows XP, I'd also
make sure that you've installed SP-1 for Office 2003. You can get to it by
opening PPT and going to Help/Check for Updates.

No Homeresque "doh" necessary!
The WinXP SP-1 article you posted specifically mentioned the error message
that Atogeniqua is receiving....
