I would like to antimate text in my powerpoint presentation--having bullet
points appear one at a time. I have not been able to figure out how to do
this with Powerpoint. I know how to have all text appear at once, but not
how to show the text bullet by bullet. Thanks for your help.

Go to the Slide Show Menu and choose Custom Animation. Check the box (at the
top of the dialog box) for your text box. In the bottom half of the dialog
box, click on the Effect tab. On the right side, you should see choices for
Introduce text. For the pull-down menu keep the choice for "All at once."
Be sure the "Grouped by" box is checked. and choose 1st level paragraphs. If
you want things to fly in by sub-items in your list, choose 2nd level
paragraphs.
