POP-UP ads....DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!

Could it be that it has nothing to do with IE but that actually you have a
virus or a browser hijacker that happily picks up pop ups and shows these?

Is there a way to stop the POP-UP ads?? They are driving me nuts!! I

have free version of Zone Alarm, McAffee Virus scan. None of

them control ad blocking(unless you pay). Is there a setting in XP that

will help? I've set my internet security to HIGH but to no

Ah. So then it /is/ good advice to recommend a better browser.. one
that cannot be hijacked?

I'm using Netscape 7.1 (based on Mozilla) with Win XP. Haven't seen a popup since.

the point of using hotmail (or any other webmail for that matter) is
that you can access it anywhere with nothing more than a graphical
browser...

as such, thunderbird was the wrong tool... you should be using firefox
or perhaps the mozilla browser in the full suite...

...and when you have some time, consider keeping updated. N 7.1 is
based on the Mozilla 1.4 Gecko engine, and Moz has moved to 1.6 (with
1.7 out soon).

Do install Mozilla with a new profile, unless you don't plan to use
7.1 anymore.
