AUTHOR'S EMAIL ADDRESS (munged): abbe_something at hotmail.com

That's from the help>about (no idea if active acct).

13 RELEASE DATE: 2003.04.30

I just checked the installer download file that's on server, and its
date is 2003.09.28. But the exe date is as above, and the two small
included txt files are dated earlier.

06 LANGUAGES:English
14 LANGUAGE: English
(I don't know the difference between 06 and 14)

That it is English only- that's my theory only. There is nothing
in the options for language, and no language files.

There is also available a source code dowload...I believe not
something generally listed on PL pages...but in case chance
my impression is off on that, the source link:

Thanks - fixed.

06 is the language of the program - 14 is used when different downloads
of program are available for different languages.

It *should* be listed in the Ware info part of the description - in this
case:

Thanks for the help Karen. :)

Nice detecting :) but if it's not obvious how to change the language I
think I'll just leave it as English.

Oops, sorry about the late timing.
doesn't sound right to me. . . "something"????

It looks natural to me... At hotmail, a short nym like "abbe" wouldn't
have been available, and then he was likely wanting to come up with
something random to append, and chose...something. :)

The author is Swedish. As to no external language files and no
settings... Speculation: Perhaps it works where if a Swedish OS
is detected by the program, then it auto-switches the menus to
Swedish (there are Swedish menus, as well as English, in this
PE's resources section).

I posted a followup on why it is my speculation that Swedish is
supported.... I want to add... If no one pops in with anything
to support that theory, then... It seems the best route to take
the chance of not including all possible information (listing
English only when Swedish supported too) -- over the chance of
including wrong information (listing English & Swedish when only
English supported).
..
think I'll just leave it as English.

Yeah, that's what I was saying. ;)

I've got the email addie on file (if a better one doesn't appear).

I await word from the Swedish contingent in ACF. . . :)

04 OS-NOTES:
05 OS-OTHER:
06 LANGUAGES: English
07 DESCRIPTION AND NOTES:
Clipomatic is a clipboard cache program. All you have to do is start it up,
and it will start monitoring the clipboard and recording its changes. When
you want to paste an old item, you just put the keyboard cursor where you
would like to paste and press Ctrl-Alt-V instead of Ctrl-V. A menu pops up
with your clips - you can select one with the mouse or with a single
keystroke. The menu then disappears, and the item is pasted with no further
work on your part. You can optionally select a set of permanent clips that
will always be displayed.
*Added by me, check the errors!* It doesn't support graphics or other
clipboard formats besides text. It has a very small memory footprint, only
about 150 KB.

02 WARE DESCRIPTION: Abandonware

This was removed from PL 2003 during the post-vote discussion, on
grounds that it was spyware. Now that it's abandoned, I have no
idea whether there's anybody using the old domains it phones/phoned
home to. I'll drop a post into the 'wares issues' thread with a link
to the discussion from 2002.

I thought to have a check. But Iain's link leads to a download called
C4U13.exe (1.1MB) which turns out to be UK's Kalendar on installation.

Hi!
I've finally realized that I will not have time for Renamer any
more. As a programmer there are always lots of interesting
projects to work on and Renamer have been very low on my priority
list. Instead of letting Renamer slowly die I've decided to let
you get a chance to do whatever you want to with it.

The source code is available on the Renamer home page, since it
was never intended for public release there are probably lots of
hard to understand code in it, and perhaps some comments written
in swedish.

If anybody makes lots of changes I'll be happy to distribute the
new tool as YournameRenamer or something like that on my home
page. Perhaps there will be need to register a sourceforge
project but I think it's easiest to start like this and see if
there is any interest.

Have fun with it!!

I found out from the forum on the site that the creator is being charged
by the owners of Fraunhofer a pretty substantial amount per mp3 codec.
With the version that is now beta there will be a $9 charge. The
version here is the last entirely freeware. It's still the best
converter out there as it stands now.

Thanks for the info about the upcoming change. I downloaded v. 1.01

Looks like a LFW version may not be available for download later -
redistribution is limited to individuals (at best) (the provisions seem
to contradict each other).
