This might help:
<http://members.aol.com/plscsi/emacs/emacs-windows.html>

(Note that step 3 says that "latest" link does _not_ work.)

Or maybe they use XEmacs:
<http://xemacs.org/Download/win32/>

Thanks JanC.

Neither site was mentioned in the nominations . . .
I took a quick look and left. EMACS is *off* the ballot.

I just finished the last description for the new nominations so all the
other programs *will* be listed . . . :)

Revised dates are:
VOTING (1 week): December 3 - December 9, 2003
POST-VOTE DISCUSSION (1 week): December 10 - December 16, 2003
FINAL LISTED POSTED: December 17, 2003

FYI: There will be one ballot for all programs - similar to the ballot
for seconding carryover nominations - programs will be listed
alphabetically.

There will be two additional ballots to vote on the acceptability/
unacceptability of certain programs for the Pricelessware List. If there
are no last minute additions the programs on those ballots will be:

40tude Dialog
Desktop Architect
ePrompter
KaZaA Lite
Trillian

Thanks to all who furnished last minute help. The new program
descriptions are complete! :)

EMACS will not be on the ballot - as I am unable to determine what
program files were nominated . . .

All other programs that were nominated and seconded will be on the ballot.

Revised web pages will be uploaded soon . . .

Voting starts tomorrow . . .

If you are interested in how the vote is going check the nominations page:

http://www.pricelessware.org/2004/2004nominationsPL.php

It has the current vote counts . . . or almost . . . :)

also the counts on the acceptable-unacceptable ballots.

I'll try to update the page once a day from now on . . .

Note: a few people have voted for programs that were not on the ballot -
those votes are not being counted.

I have uploaded the latest vote counts to both the Nominations page and
the Alphabetical List page - IMO they are easier to read on the
Alphabetical page - only programs that are on the ballot are shown on
that page.

http://www.pricelessware.org/2004/PL2004AlphabeticalList.php

Irfanview is still in the lead . . . :)

Voting is *UP* compared to last year.

Programs on the PL2003 ballot received a total of 3012 votes. PL2004
programs have *already* received 3954 votes. (I don't have a comparison
of the number of people voting in 2003 vs. 2004.)

IMO a 30 percent increase *so far* is *very* nice to see. :)

gotta get my own ballot in . . .

Thanks Jaime. :)

I really enjoyed the Thanks You's in the voting threads too. I didn't
respond there - because I didn't want clutter up the thread - but each
one was appreciated. :)

Wish I did. I wasn't involved in the PL2003 vote counting. All I have
are the votes counts that were posted after the election.

Does someone want to Google the PL2003 vote threads for each web page
and then remove the duplicate names (voters who voted in more than one
thread) . . .

It's most emphatically *not* gonna be me babe . . . ;)

91 people have voted so far in the program thread (we *love* Irfanview)

close to a 50 percent increase over last year's 3012 . . . :)

SiSoftware Sandra

Seconded by me in <[email protected]>
Google URL:
<http://www.google.com/groups?&[email protected]>

I know this is late (have not been able to keep up with this group for
a while) but I just noticed when voting - Sandra missing... A great
loss for the a.c.f/PL if Sisoft Sandra is not included. (I should
perhaps have saved this for the post-vote discussion, given my
lateness, but I don't think I will be able to participate then.)

All the best,

Hi Bjorn,

Mea culpa - somehow your second never got added to the nominations list.

I can start a thread just for SiSoftware Sandra and allow late votes if
you like.

FWIW - as of the latest count Aida32 has 45 votes, Belarc Advisor has 26
- the competition is pretty stiff . . .
