Hi Pat,

We can do as the following steps.

1. Open the Administrative Tools
2. Open the Performance
3. Select the System Monitor
4. Right click the grey area in the right pane and select Add Counters
5. Select the "Use local computer counters"
6. In the Performance object drop down box, select Processor
7. You can select the "Select counters from list" and choose the counter
you want. You need to click the Add after you select the counter you want.
8. You also can select "All counters" to choose all counters
9. Click Close
10. Click OK

Now, the Performance starts to monitor the counters you selected. If you
want to save the log, you can right click it and select Save As and save
the file.

You also can do as the following steps.

1. Open the Administrative Tools
2. Open the Performance
3. Select Counter Logs under the Performance Logs and Alerts
4. Right click the Counter Logs and select "New Log Settings..."
5. Give the name
6. Click Add and select the proper counters you want
7. You also can schedule the time to run the monitor
8. The log file will be created in the c:\PerfLogs folder by default.

If it shows up in every display then it's most likely a problem with the
monitor itself. Poer your system down completely, wait at least five
minutes, and then bring it up again. If the line reappears, your choices
are to replace the monitor or live with the line.
