I upgraded my palm software to 4.1.4e after upgrading to vista. now all that
is showing in my hotsync option list are local serial, network, modem and
network. Palm can't figure out why there is no usb anybody have any ideas.

I have never been able to get my Sony Clie S300 to hotsync since Windows XP.
I had to get a serial cable and it works fine with XP and Vista. I have the
4.0.1 Palm Desktop Sony has on their website.

Hate to sound discouraging, but unless things have changed in the past 2-3
weeks then the new palm software does not sync under vista. Their site says
something like the "software installs under vista without problems" and that
is true. I'm not sure this is intentional deception, but it loads and then
doesn't work. They must know this by now--just go to the user discussion
forums on the palms site--the comments are pretty brutal.
