I have a user who has a Palm Vx and was able to hotsync with no problem until
we upgraded to Windows Pro XP SP2 I have searched forums and went directly to
the Palm website and all advise to assure that the most recent version of the
Palm software & Hotsync Manager. I have done this in addition to making sure
the Com port that is being used by the laptop has the suggested speed of
9600. The users laptop does not have a serial port so we are using a
USB-SERIAL cable to connect from his device to his laptop. Each time the
hotsync is attempted an error message of not being able to communicate with
desktop is prompted. If anyone has had success in doing this please advise.
Thanks,
RJ
