Package for CD and autorun on Vista

I have used Package for CD with PowerPoint Viewer 2003 and this works nicely
targeting W2k and XP systems.
Does autorun work if the target machine is a "standard configuration" Vista
with it's tighter security? I don't have a Vista system so can't test it
directly.

Also, what are the differences between PPT Viewer 2003 and 2007 in terms of
the end-user navigation experience (i.e. different navigation? launch time?)

What you said. Just something to add about this:

I'd expect it to open a 2007 file more slowly than it would the equivalent
2003
file because it'd have to do the conversion first.

Note that the compatibility pack must be installed on the computer in order
for the Viewer to be able to open 2007 format (PPTX/PPSX) files. The compat
pack will *not* run from the CD.

Therefore, when you run the 2007 Viewer from CD, you must use a 2003-format
PPT file. Package for CD in PowerPoint 2007 automatically converts your PPTX
file to PPT to compensate for this.

Just something to be aware of.

I agree with what Steve says about Viewers opening 2007 files more slowly --
just want to reiterate that the Viewer(s) can only open 2007 format files
when the compatibility pack has been installed on the computer itself.

As for the Vista question, the CDs work the same -- assuming you haven't
disabled autorun on Vista, you get a prompt / dialog asking if you want to
open the folder to view the files, if you want to run the CD, etc.
