outlook - offline

I'm in exchange 2003, when I start outlook i receive a work offline in the
lower right hand corner. So, I unchecked the work offline message and
everything is connected. However, when the closed out Outlook, the work
offline message is back---seems like outlook didn't save my settings....any
suggestions.

On the File Menu, is Work Offline checked?

After furious head scratching, rsm asked:
