Outlook - freezing

Hi

For the past 2 days my Outlook has been freezing between screens or taking a
long time to change screens (ie at least 2 mins to change). No other
programs are affected eg Excel, IE, Powerpoint.

I have about 100 messages in my Inbox, about 2000 in sent items and about
2000 in deleted, but these normally run a lot higher than this and I have
never had a problem.

Also when I close Outlook down correctly, when I next start the program it
is saying the program was not closed properly last time and it checks for
problems which takes about 5 minutes each time.

I have run my virus program and my machine is clean.

Any ideas please?

Hello,
It sounds like the pst (the file that stores your email and things in
outlook) is either almost full or it has a little damage. Right click on the
highest folder (will have a minus sign beside it) in the folder list. Go to
properties and click on folder size. If you are using outlook xp then it can
not be near 2GB. If this is a problem you will have to run the inbox repair
tool. Please note the inbox repair tool may delete data that is corrupt and
may result in data loss!!!
