Outlook Express - Sync between 2 computers

A

I have a situation where I need to sync a desktop and notebook with
outlook express. Can anyone offer a solution to my issue.

I will be running Windows Multimedia edition with outlook express 6.0
and Windows 2000 with the same version of outlook. I want to be able
to sync between the computers since I will be using express at
different times and don’t wish to look e-mail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Alex

It *can* be done but it's involved, awkward and one mis-step can lead to
loss messages or even your entire message store.

Consider this instead:

On both machines: OE Tools > Accounts > [mail account] > Properties >
Advanced > Delivery > Leave a copy of messages on the server (check).

On one machine: OE Tools > Accounts > [mail account] > Properties > Advanced
Delivery > Remove from server after XX days (choose appropriate number)

Optional, on either machine: OE Tools > Accounts > [mail account] >
Properties > Advanced > Delivery > Remove from server when deleted from
'Deleted Items' (check).

To move copies of messages in Sent Items or other Local folders to the other
machine, open a New Message and drag each message from its folder into the
message as an attachment, then send this message to yourself and drag the
attached messages to the desired folder on the receiving machine.
