Outlook 2002 Starting Very Slowly

I recently got a hand-held computer that came with Outlook 2002. After
upgrading from Outlook 2000, it takes forever to open (actually, it takes
about a minute, but it seems like forever). My Outlook 2000 never took this
long, and I've done nothing different (besides upgrading). My deleted
items folder is empty, and I only have 5 archived messages. I asked
Microsoft, my hand-held computer manufacturer, AND my ISP; however, none of
them seem to know why this is happening. Could someone please tell me how
to correct this, PLEASE!!!!

Try disabling the integration with Instant Messenger in Tools | Options |
Other and see if that speeds things up.

That did the trick!! Thank you very much for your help!! I should have
known to come here first, before getting frustrated with tech support!! Do
you know how someone becomes a customer support rep. at Microsoft? Most of
the time, it seems I know more than the they do!! They are always putting
you on hold, and researching the problem!!
