Outlook 2002 is slow!

When receiving emails after opening Outlook 2002, it takes
a very long time - several times longer than when I had
Outlook 2000 (I recently upgraded to 2002).

Is this normal with Outlook 2002? Returning from the
weekend I had over 700 Spam, and even though most were
eventually filtered out, it still took me about an hour to
receive all of my emails. I also have been getting
duplicates of some of the emails.

Appreciate any input.

Try disabling the integration with Instant Messenger in Tools | Options |
Other and see if that speeds things up.
