OPening Attachments

I was always able to click on the clip for an attachment to open in Word or
Excel and it opened immediately, without having to save the attachment. All
of a sudden, I can't do rhat. When I click on it, Word or Excel opens, but
it tells me it can't find the file. If I click on save attachments, it does
that to my documents and then I can open it up. I "repaired" Office 2007, in
case there was any glitch that happened with that, but it didn't change the
situation - What might have happened, and how can I fix it so that
attachments can open directly when I click on the clip on the e-mail. Thanks

Elaine and tonymazz: This is a known issue that is affecting some
users who installed IE8. Currently, the only known workarounds
are a) uninstall IE8 (reverting back to IE7), or
b) save attachments and open them outside Windows Mail, or
c) upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

Good to hear. Next time, submit the exact error message
because it allows us to distinguish between the newer IE8 issue
and the older Default Programs issue.
