OLEXP NOT default mail handler.

Hello!
I accidently installed Outlook 97 on my XP Pro machine. After un-installing
it, outlook express notifies me every time I start it up that it is not the
default mail handler. I tell the computer to make it the default mail
handler, and the same message comes up again and again. I have even tried
making it the default handler through the Tools>Options>General (click on
make default). How can I make Outlook Express the default mail handler for
good?
