Office 2003 Updates

J

JCO

My computer keeps telling me to update 3-items (KB905756, KB913807 &
KB913161).
Each time I do the updates, they fail to install. I can't figure out why.
Then the next day, the updates want to install again. This has been an
ongoing process for several days now.

What do I do?

Your installation issue typically occurs when the previous Microsoft Office
components are corrupt. To correct the detailed error, I suggest that you manually
install these updates. For your convenience, I have listed the steps below.

1. Please download the updates to the desktop. For your convenience, I have listed the link of each update below:

Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...0B-DA42-43A0-8D75-5A427A6DB87E&displaylang=en

Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB913161)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...d5-a82c-447f-9bb7-2b57554819ef&DisplayLang=en

Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB905756)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...3a-b409-4469-984e-6c19d8f5fe41&DisplayLang=en

2. Double click the downloaded updates to install them.

Note: Have your Office 2003 CD available as you may be prompted to
insert it in the CD drive.

After finishing the above steps, please try to access the Microsoft Update
site again to see whether you have successfully installed the updates.

I downloaded the 3-updates and tried to install them separately.
Each update fails to install (no explanation as to why)

Open Admin tools/Services
Make sure that the service "Office Source Engine" is running.
If this service is not running or is disabled, Office updates will not
install.

Open Add/remove programs, wipe out your illegal copy of office 2003 and
install OpenOffice.org...
