Norton SystemWorks 2004 questions

Mark

I am not sure where else to ask this question as there is no discussion area
or forum on Symantec's web site.

I am trying to find out the details on Norton SystemWorks 2004 in regards to
Norton Utilities. I heard that Norton SystemWorks 2004 has the Norton
Utilities 2003 version in it along with Norton Ghost 2003. Then I heard
that Norton Utilities has been updated to a new 2004 version, but some
programs and features were removed.

I currently own Norton SystemWorks 2003 Professional and I cannot find the
details differences betweeen Norton SystemWorks 2004 and Norton SystemWorks
2004 Professional.

Can anyone provide me these details? I sent e-mail to Symantec, but I never
received a response. I would try calling them, but they are not open at the
times I could call them (its a Monday through Friday business day thing).

Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, the only thing you're missing is the
frustration, and aggravation, of being forced to "activate" it, in a method
similar to Windows XP. Stick with SystemWorks 2003, and keep it updated.

Hi Bill,
What sort of frustration did you incur? The only real frustration I had was
not being able to cheat and load the single Legal copy I bought on all three
of the computers I own. And I suppose when someone picks that lock they will
only invent a better one.
I remember when, with only two keys, you could open 'almost' any lock
made at the time. Not anymore.
And it's not the small offenders, it is the professional pirates and the
people who knowingly buy from them that ruined it for all of us. It is only
them that we have to thank.

Hi Mark,
If your subscription has run out just renew it. I don't think anything
important was added that updates can not fix. And if it's not broken, don't
fix it. When it become to outdated to re-subscribe Norton should let you
know.

I am mostly interested in upgrading to Norton AntiVirus 2004 Professional
where I cna install it on both of my computers.

It seems that you can only activate NAV 2004 one time on a computer and if
you need to re-activate it again, you have to buy a new NAV 2004 version.
The same for NAV 2004 Professional where I will be installing it on two
computers.

According to the EULA agreement, one copy can only be used on one computer.
And you can re-activate it as many times as needed, on the original
computer.
