No auto hide taskbar

I have the check mark in "auto hide task bar", but it does not do it
anymore. If I uncheck it, click okay then check it again, it will "hide" but
only one time. As soon as I drag the pointer to the bottom, it reappears and
stays.

Is there a fix for this? Thank you.

If you have any windows opened including any programs try maximizing all
of them and then try it again.

Hmm, is this happening after hibernation, etc?

Either way, set accordingly and run Save Settings on Exit:
line 54 (right hand side): http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Other than that, you can end explorer.exe via the Task Manager and then
File/New run: explorer.exe
