New Programs balloon

Every time I click on the Start button a yellow balloon appears saying "New
Programs Installed". It doesn't matter whether new programs were installed or
not, it happens EVERY time I click Start. How do I pop this stupid balloon
and keep it from appearing forever? I think I will know when I install a new
program. Thanks for any help. BharleyH

Right click an open area of the Taskbar at the bottom of the
screen and select Properties from the menu.
Click on the Start Menu tab.
Click on the Customize button.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Remove the check mark from the box next to "Highlight newly
installed programs".

Thank you Nepatsfan!!!! When I tried that earlier I looked right over that
checkbox, doh. Sometimes the answers are right under your nose. Thanks again.
