New Program Installed !

Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button | Advanced tab |
UNCheck: Highlight newly installed programs |
OK |Apply | OK

Hi Folks

my problem is I have installed a new program, and all seems fine, but when I
go to Start-All Programs, I get the message "New program installed"
everytime I put the curser over the "All Programs", and the new program is
highlighted in a pinky colour.

When I have installed programs in the past I have had this message until I
have run the program and then it does not reappear, also same with the
highlighted program in the list.

so the question is how do I get rid of the "new programs installed" ?



The OS is XP home,
