New Mail Doc Opens up in MS Word (not MS Mail)

Hello,

I'm having a new problem creating an mail reply to a Craigslist ad.

When I click on the reply function to a Craigslist ad, instead of opening my
MS Mail application, it is now (this is a new problem) opening up a "Mail"
form but in MS Word (I have MS Office 2003). This would be okay, but ,,,,,
there is no " SEND" function displayed ,,, nor am I able to figure out any
way to send the completed email when I'm finished.

How can I stop MS Word from auto opening??

Regards,
Brent Trout

Make sure that Windows Mail has all of the email defaults.
"Start" - "Default Programs" - "Set your default programs"

Sounds like Windows Mail doesn't have all its defaults.
Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

In addition to what Dave and Gary have said, note that anytime you receive
an update to Office or Outlook from Windows/Microsoft/Office Update, Outlook
will probably be set as the default email client and you'll have to repeat
the steps to reset Windows Mail back to being the default again.
