New Installation of Prof 2003 with Outlook Error

In my account I get an error message taht reds "An
extension failed to initialize. Can't open extend.dat.
This file may not exist (It does), you may not ahve
persmission to open it (I do), or it may be open in
another program (It's not)

This message doesn't appear on anothe user account that
shares this machine. Any ideas?

Hi Nelson
When you tried to rename it, does it find it as extend.dat or just extend?
if the latter, go to Filnd Files | Tools | Option. View tab. Untick Hide
Extensions for known file types, apply and OK.

Search again, and when its found, rightclick on the file, and choose Rename.
Rename to extend.old.

Then open Outlook again

In re-reading my note, I should have run a spell checker!
