New Hardware Wizard

I recently installed a new printer on my Windows XP
computer. I followed the directions and used the CD that
came with the printer.
Now everytime I turn on my computer I get the "New
Hardware Found" message and the New Hardware Wizard pops
up.
How do I turn these messages off??

Printers don't show up in the device manager by default, but will if you enable "Show hidden devices/files" from the View menu. The reason is that the Printers folder is the place where you really want to administer your printers. Once the folders are no longer hidden, your PNP (Plug and Play) freature will stop popping up
Start/ControlPanel/tools/folder options/View tab/tick the "Show hidden files and folders" option/Apply/OK
