New defs question..

Can someone tell me what increment version they show?
What numbers they show for:
ThreatAuditThreatData
ThreatAuditScanData
DeterminationData

I'm in a state of confusion. I see some values the same
as the update on the 22nd, yet I'm showing I do have Defs
5763. (I haven't had problems updating thus far. Guess
there's always a first time)

Thanks in advance..

1. MSAS hung two times in diagnostics bringing it down and up
2. Rebooted and downloaded the 5763 defs one more time:

Microsoft AntiSpyware Version: 1.0.615
This version expires on: 12/31/2005
Spyware Definition Version: 5763 (9/29/2005 10:33:07 PM) <<< notice no
timeshift
Definitions Increment Version: 116/116
Definitions ThreatAuditThreatData: 1306538
Definitions ThreatAuditScanData: 2760110 <<< ScanData didn't
increment
Definitions DeterminationData: 598786
Software Update Check Date: 9/25/2005 11:02:18 PM

1. MSAS took a long download after reboot and splash screen (10 mins.hang in
splash) but same def data
2. decided on repair install, shutdown MSAS repaired brought up MSAS tried
to update but was current.
3. have the same definitions as above, but they don't match D'ghor's current
in his post.

Any ideas other than un-install, re-install? Sorry for the long post.

This forum is a wealth of information. Too bad it's not searchable using a
browser and doesn't have a FAQ sticky.
Thanks to Mikolaj, I found this repair for looping signature definition
updates. I had to use the manual update technique:

Please clean the temporary folders (usually C:\Documents and
Settings\username\local settings\temp and c:\Documents and
Settings\username\local settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 and
delete all the files in those directories and subdirectories). Then try to
perform the update again.

If it does not help, there is a manual update procedure. Follow these steps:

Right click on MSAS icon within systray and choose shutdown.

Right click and "Save target as..."

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcDeterminationData.gcd

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditScanData.gcd

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd

Copy/paste these files to Program files/Microsoft Antispyware (Replace when
asked to overwrite)

Restart MSAS and "check for updates"

If the http:// does not work, try https:// instead..

I have the same as you. The best I can tell from others,
at this point, what we have is correct - unless someone
else comes along to prove me wrong.
