issue with 1.0.613 release

J

Jim Linden

Installed this update c2 days ago. This afternoon it
reported it was upgrading the defs. from 5727 to 5729 -
same message as it displayed last night. After the update
completed with no errors I clicked on Check for Updates
and, once again, the software displayed a message stating
it was updating defs from 5727 to 729.

Help About states the release number shown in the subject
and defs version 5729 & I'm a local admin. Diagnostics
output follows - any advice gratefully received.

I would recommend that both of you uninstall the 613 release. Additionally,
I'd recommend deleting the c:\program files\Microsoft Antispyware folder,
unless you are strongly in need of keeping settings or quarantined items.

Then download the current build, which should be 614.

I believe this will come with 5725. After installing it, see if the update
then works properly to 5729.
