New beta install problems

Hey everyone,

Like others I had problems with the automatic upgrade to
the new beta. I "removed" the old version with Add/Remove
and then downloaded the new one. When I tried to start it,
I got a pop-up that said the set-up failed. A couple of
repeats later and I deleted that downloaded file and dug up
the folder with the original beta download and reinstalled
it. It's updated and working fine.

I haven't seen any posts with this problem, and I've never
had a download where setup failed to initialize before.
Shall I wait a while to try it again, or is this just a
random error during download? (I'd try again tonitght but I
gotta get some sleep.

It'd be helpful to know whether there were any specific error codes in the
pop-up that you got when set-up failed.

Since the old version expires in a couple of weeks, we obviously need to get
you to the newer one.
