networking bet win98 and xp

Hi,
Can it really be that difficult???? I tried to network two computers, one XP
and one WIN98.
Unfortunately they don't see each other. I created a home network on the XP,
created a diskette and installed whatever was on it on the Win98 computer.
When run a computer search on win98 it finds the XP computer but when trying
to explore the found computer it suddenly does not see it.
The XP computer does not even find the win 98 computer.
I connected the computers through a hub and both computers have the same
workgroup name.

When you have this problem between Windows 9x (95, 98, ME) and Windows NT (NT,
2000, XP, Server 2003), chances are you have a browser conflict. The browsers
(I'm not talking about Internet Explorer here) in the two operating system
families don't work well together on the same network. Read these articles:
