i only have one connection and noticed local area connection and virtual private connection as well as my dial up.do i need these? can i delete them safely? also i am on the internet but my dial up says disconnected whats wrong ? thank you for your help

Hi,

The VPN uses the local area connection settings to connect to the internet. But the dial up connection is different and is configured seperately. Why would u want to delete them. You can right click on them and then select disable. This will keep you on the safe side in case you will want to use them again in future.
