Hi-
First I apologize for posting this under XP. I have a Vista System, but
can't get the Vista discussion board to cooperate. I hope you are patient
with me.
I had a Dell D620 that was giving a PCIIDEX.sys missing or corrupt error on
boot. I fixed that and the system boots and seems to work fine. The problem
I have now is that the wireless network adapter and the LAN adapter both say
"The device cannot start (Code 10)." Both cards were working prior to the
PCIIDEX fix.
I have removed them from device manager and reinstalled the driver. I have
installed the latest drivers from Dell. I obtained and installed the lastest
driver from the Manufacturer for the Wireless Card. I have googled all over
the planet. I've gone through msconfig, checking things off one at a time,
and rebooted a thousand times.
I noticed the Wireless NetZero Service was not listed in the Services.
I'm lost and am ready to format the harddrive.
If anyone can help me save this system, I would be most appreciative. Thank
you.
