Netmeeting-video receiving problems

Hello,

I'm having a problem receiving video when using Netmeeting. I have a
Panasonic video camera hooked up to my computer. I have checked off send and
receive from Tools/Video. Under Tools/Options/Video, I have checked off
automatically send and receive video. The person I'm sending to has checked
off all these options as well.

In the My video window, I can see the video I'm sending from my video
camera. However I can't see the video she sends me. The person I'm calling
can receive my live video and also can see the video, in a window, that she
is sending from her camera.

The icon with the small rectangle inside the bigger rectangle (called
"picture-in-picture I believe) is greyed out. The person I'm sending my video
to is able to select this option, but I can't.

I'm trying to be as detailed as possible so you'll know what I've already
tried.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Netmeeting is next to useless. I gave up on it years ago. I think 9 out of
every 10 calls resulted in no video at all. After changing to Windows
Messeneger and now MSN messenger i can at least see the people i am talking
too.
To be honest i always put the problem down to me being on a dial up internet
connection and then with great fanfare i upgraded to broadband and decide to
try netmeeting again. Result? The situation was exactly the same i still
couldn't see anyone and the odd one i could see the picture was so fuzzy it
wasn't worth the effort.

Hi John,

Thanks for the tip. I've installed both Yahoo Messenger and MSN Messenger.
However when I try to test out the video, the picture is all messed up. I'm
not quite sure how to describe it but the screen has these brownish fuzzy
lines. When I move my camdera, I can see movement on the screen but no
picture. Any suggestions??
