My Documents Opens itself

Hi

My mouse has a centre scroll button, as most do, for scrolling and for
opening pages in new tabs in mozilla firefox.

Recently, pressing the scroll button down now opens my documents up, whereas
previously all it would do is scroll the page up and down or open a new tab
in firefox.

How do i get it to stop opening up my documents- it has never done this
before.

Thanks

Hi, i'm not sure if this will apply to your mouse, but special keys in the
keyboard use a key located in the system registry (regedit.exe) under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey

Navigate there by gointo to Start, Run, type in regedit, and press enter. A
screen should pop up and from there keep pressing the plus (+) sign next to
the keys (the things with folder icons) until you get there. Click on
whatever is in AppKeys (eg. 15, 17, 17, 18, 7) and for each one, post
whatever is in the right-hand pane. You may copy and paste the contents by
double-clicking the item and using the screen that pops-up.

ok thankyou for the advice,

Would you know what might be the reason for my mouse scroll button not
working correctly then?

Look in the Control Panel, Mouse, Buttons tab, click the proper button
in the list, click the Change button. This works with my Logitech
mouse, but your mouse may have different options.

Hi thanks for the advice, but unfortunately because it is a laptop, it doesnt
have the same options in mouse buttons tab because it has options for
synaptics touchpad only. The only other thing which could have affected it
was software i installed for a newer mouse which did give me the option to
change the function of the centre wheel, but i just chose autoscroll- as it
is a scroll wheel.

Thanks anyway
