Multimedia audio controller

In device manager, other devices has a yellow question mark and under the +
plus sign "multimedia audio controller"
Have tried motherboard cd, windows xp cd. Cannot find driver.
I assume it is the sound a97 on my motherboard? No idea realy :-((
The motherboard is ACPI intel 845.ver l1.36 with 2.4Ghz and 512 mg ram
Sound seems OK.
Tried the Intel and ACPI web site with no joy.
Any ideas please.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the device, Action menu,
"Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.
