MS Paint not working

My Paint stopping working many months ago, message - Paint
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience. When I send a report I get
another message that they are aware of the problem and
working on a fix. Geez it's Paint... how long can that
really take to fix???

I had uninstalled and tried reinstalling but no help.
There are lots of little things I used that for and would
like to have it working again. Any clues what I can do???

Cindy, if you have a WinXP CD insert it in the cdrom drive and go to
Start>Run
type: sfc /scannow That does a system file check.

Download and run the edit on line 191 (right hand side). This is a common
issue:
