Mouse movement problem

After downloading a camera-full of images to my PC, I subsequently move
selected ones to subfolders.
In doing the selection of these, with the control key held down, prior to
moving them, I find that inadvertant movement of the mouse in the selection
process causes copies to be created in the same folder.
Can anyone suggest a solution?

I've had same problem.

Try selecting the files then instead of drag and drop do Right click -> copy
then change the input focus to the destination folder and Right click ->
paste
